Work in the World
Quakers believe their "witness" or public testimony is an outward expression of their inward faith and relationship with God, demonstrating their beliefs through their actions and how they live their lives. This witness is not just about individual behavior, but also about how they interact with the world and work towards positive change. This outward expression is their "testimony" or witness. Quakers are called to engage with the world, not withdraw from it. This includes participating in civic life, working for social justice, and seeking to create a more peaceful and sustainable world.
Santa Cruz Friends attempt to engage with our community in many different ways. Below are some events that we have sponsored or attended. We work closely with the Association of Faith Communities.
