MLK March, Monday Jan. 20 at 9 a.m. sponsored by local chapter of NAACP

Once again, on Monday, January 20, the NAACP Santa Cruz County Branch invites the community to come together in unity to honor the memory and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a march through downtown Santa Cruz, culminating in a commemorative event at the Civic Auditorium.

As we have in past years, Friends will have a contingent in the march. We will gather at 9 AM at Pacific Avenue and Cathcart Street, Santa Cruz, then march through downtown at 10.

We will convene at the Civic Auditorium for an inspiring program from 11-12 featuring a resource fair and keynote speaker Gregory Hodge, the Chief Network Officer of the Brotherhood of Elders Network, with a background in community organizing and advocacy.
