  • Building and Grounds

    The Building and Grounds working group is charged with the oversight of the use, development and maintenance of the meetinghouse and grounds of the Santa Cruz Friends Meeting. Susan, Marcus, Alan, Bob and Mimi

  • Children's

    The Children’s working group organizes children’s programs during Meeting for Worship and retreats. It also focuses on building relationships between elementary-aged children and teens outside of Meeting for Worship. Ellie, Alice, Mimi, Marilyn, Maren, Susan

  • The Meeting Clerks

    The Meeting Clerks take special care regarding the spiritual, organizational and procedural aspects of Meeting life and its connection to the wider world of Friends. Gerri and Noreen

  • Property and Finance

    Along with the treasurer, the Property and Finance Committee is responsible for the Monthly Meeting finances and for preparing an annual budget to be approved by the Monthly Meeting. Deborah, Susan and Alan (Treasurer)

  • Friends in Unity with Nature (FUN)

    The Friends in Unity with Nature working group focuses on our Testimony of Stewardship and strives to be a reflective forum to strengthen and deepen our spiritual unity with nature. Leoma, Nancy GG, Marilyn

  • Hearth and Hospitality

    The Hearth and Hospitality working group creates an inviting space where people can have some refreshments after the rise of Meeting for Worship and get to know one another better. Eva, Margo, Marilyn, Jerry, Noreen, Maureen, Pam, Mimi, Deborah, Susan, Alice, Ellie.

  • Library

    The Library working group supports the spiritual life of the Meeting by supplying books on Quakerism and spiritual development which are not readily available from the public library. Deborah, Mimi, Nancy W

  • Meeting Life Committee

    Meeting Life Committee supports the worship community through activities, programs and events that strengthen ties among us, and help newcomers become part of the community. Alice, Maren, Mimi

  • Nominating

    The Nominating Committee is given the task of discerning how the gifts of members and attenders may best serve the Meeting. Deborah, Alan, Susan

  • Peace and Social Justice

    The Peace and Social Justice working group provides a focal point for the concerns of members and attenders about social action and peace. It helps Meeting to clarify its positions and to recommend courses of action when peace and social justice issues arise and a response from Meeting is desirable.

  • Worship and Ministry

    The Worship and Ministry Committee nurtures the spiritual health of the Meeting Community.  Nancy W, Karen Heidi, Mary, Gerri (ex-officio)
